Former

The shackles of your former self
Take them off with Jesus' help
Use The Key, of which is He
Which He gives to all freely
A street lamp on road that's dark
A copper and a spark
Complete the circle of the Ark
The past must leave a mark
And it is the Rainbow and Cross
A bridge built at great cost
For innocence was lost
And regained for all without loss.

Humility

Humble is a shade of gold
A warm greeting never cold
Soft a feather of clothing to warm
Strong a feather of flight from storm
Humble is a state of gold
Noble in trust. In truth bold
Sweet a kiss on the cheek
Sway in the breeze mild and meek
Humble is a shape of gold
Always mindful of what is told
in the Law in the Prophets
Trusting that He will grace what is lacking

Sermon: The gift of reason.

In the beginning the world was void. The spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said , "Let there be light". The word, or logos, entered the world and through the word all things were created.
God gave man many gifts. One of these is logic, the gift or ability to sense order and symmetry. The art of logic is called mathematics. Through this gift we may sense a deeper appreciation of Gods' creation.
Another of Gods' gifts is reason, the ability to sense truth. The faculty of reason is given that we may discern truth, logic and beauty. Truth is beauty and beauty truth. The truth is a matter of the relationship between ourselves and God. The emotion, meaning and character we ascribe to the Word. Jesus is the Living Word. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
So the real reason we have these senses of logic, pattern, symmetry, elegance and truth is so that we may receive Gods' True Gift of Beauty.

May the reader and all dear to the be blessed. May the Heavenly host look upon our doings and may Jesus sanctify our steps on the way towards Him. Amen.

Song: Savior Servant Son

Cold was the night. I couldn't sleep.
Warm were Your arms, around me.
On a rail, no where to go.
I walked the trail, through bitter snow.
You looked in the shadows, of my sin.
You sheltered me from the wind blows and let me in.
Your hand lifted the cup, the broken chalice.
Your Love lifted me up, it felt so nice.
You are the vine, on the broken trelise.
Your Love is divine, it feels so nice.
Oh Master, You are the one.
The Savior Servant Son.
Your gift You gave, to me.
Your sacrifice set me free.
Cold was the night, I couldn't sleep.
Warm were Your arms, around me.

Eyes

Look in my eyes Your the same as by me
That's as far as I can see
We'll be together always forever
We'll be free

Time has past and what's done is done
Let Thee rest and have a day of fun
We'll be together forever
In the sun

Given what We know
Remember the seeds that We sowed
Forever together
Together We go

Love what is good and expect the best
Remember those who are still in the nest
For someday We may
Return to rest

Together forever
We'll be free
You, my sweet Lord
And poor little me
.
